Choreographer
Minami is known to create movements that resonate with genuine emotion. In her artistic endeavors, she places a strong emphasis on fostering a deep connection between the audience and performers. She strongly believes that the authentic emotions conveyed on the stage have the power to profoundly move audiences. Her dedication to pushing the boundaries of creating movements is evident through her submissions to many events, including the Modern American Dance Company's Dare to Dance Festival 2024, the American College Dance Association Adjudicated Concert 2023, and active participation in the Lindenwood University Dance Program Concerts. Minami's choreography is a testament to her commitment to creating an experience where real emotions come alive through the art of dance. Minami’s choreography continues to receive recognition, with her piece “ONE” premiered in 2024 as part of a Choreographer Residency at the Choreography Project Providence.

Educator
Minami's teaching philosophy is grounded in her profound belief that dance is a universal language. Her passion lies in providing young artists with the opportunity to express their unique voices on the stage. Beyond merely enhancing their dance abilities, Minami's teaching goals extend to building strong relationships with the arts. She aims to prepare her students to utilize their movements as a powerful means of self-expression. For Minami, teaching goes beyond the technicalities of dance; it is a journey that empowers individuals to communicate, connect, and share their stories through the art of movement. In May 2024, she relocated to Boston, establishing herself as a faculty member at Urbanity Dance, a prominent contemporary dance company.

Performer
Minami holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Lindenwood University in Missouri. She relocated to the Boston area to continue her passion for dance after completing her college education. In the past, she has showcased her talents by performing at the 2022, 2023, and 2024 American College Dance Association Conferences, as well as participating in events such as the St. Louis National Dance Week Festival and The Big Muddy Dance Festival. Notably, Minami delivered a solo performance at the Hiroshima-Nagasaki Peace Memorial in Boston, Massachusetts. She was recently joined as a First Company Artist with Jo-Mé Dance Theatre, where she is excited to contribute her creative vision and collaborate with the company on upcoming tour performances. Minami is also a professional company member at Urbanity Dance, where she continues to grow as both a dancer and a collaborator, further establishing her presence in Boston’s vibrant dance community.
